Denver Peak Academy

I am so excited to introduce myself as the newest member of the Denver Peak Academy team. Disclosure #1: I am a total aviation nerd, and truly believe that part of the vacation is actually spending time at the airport. I do believe that I might be the only person in the world who is not totally bummed when they learn their flight is delayed by two hours or more.

So now that you know I am an aviation nerd, you might ask … why go to Denver Peak Academy? Aviation is an industry that strives for continuous improvement. In every aircraft delay, no matter how long or short – there is a deep dive done to figure out how to fix the bugs in the system. And airlines are always trying to seek perfection. Customers expect consistency no matter where they board an aircraft around the world and Standard Work help to create that process. I previously worked for Denver International Airport and I can tell you that the operations team uses Lean methodologies to continuously improve on how they responded to incidents. Ideas are collaboratively shared among departments to better the overall customer experience.

Disclosure #2: Now I must get a little personal, and it is hard for me to admit that I am a Denver transplant. But I love Denver and cannot imagine living anywhere else! This city is amazing, and every year the it just gets better and better. With an average of around 245 days of sun per year I love to do anything outside. I enjoy hiking, biking, skiing, yard work and running long distances (yes, I’ve heard all the jokes about why I’d put myself through that suffering, but I still love it).

Disclosure #3: I am married to the most amazing man ever. He is my glue, and rocks my world! I have been known to tell people over and over how incredible he is.
